Such a beautiful aspect of this Savasana practice is that we bring the Earth elements into it—for more supportiveness. And also, to deepen our gratitude and our relationship with Mother Earth.
I know the guilt trip of thinking we need to be productive all of the time. I know that we often use our spiritual practices as ways to push ourselves instead of to connect with ourselves. So, lying on the floor and breathing with intention can seem like a tall order for many of us.
But please give it a go. It’s so very necessary these days. It's amazingly healing. And I’m pretty sure that every cell in your being is going to go, Ahhh… mmm… yesss.

HOW THIS HELPS
Savasana is also known as “corpse pose” in yoga, and as you probably know, it is done lying on your back, eyes closed in total relaxation. Ahhh… mmm… yesss.
It’s obviously a resting pose. It’s also about integrating the merits—the benefits, of all of the work we’ve done in a yoga session. We move to stillness for the growth to really root, for the fresh energy to seep into our energy bodies.
More than ever we need to get into resting poses to nourish our nervous system. And, more than ever we need to be still to hear what our Soul’s guidance has to say. All of the answers rise up from the stillness.
